"Look, I'll be honest with you." He chuckles and just shakes his head, not taking the assorted goods he'd been handed. He didn't want to get all parental, but. "Zafika, you don't have a choice. You never did." Garrot is smiling, still just as warm as before, swapping force and venom with ironclad authority.

"See, Knights have to work together, and you stubbornly refusing expert, no-strings-attached medical support from the son of a past Princess's Knight is not very cooperative." He steeples his fingers a bit, like a doctor mid-consultation. Garrot knows all about managing appearances when people want to think the worst of you, so he just shrugs. "It's not a great look for someone who says they've got something to protect; people might think you're a trained assassin under the Wizard's thumb or something. You know how they love to talk, right?" Garrot's not above blackmailing people into doctor's appointments, it's for the sake of their health!

But then he gingerly places the coat and medical cream on a rock, stands up, and takes a step back. "Take every advantage you can get, alright kid? Especially if they're free." He does a few stretches, and there's one or two popping sounds from his joints. "And since you never said no to free food, I'll cook you dinner tomorrow night. Any preferences?" Then he starts to turn his back to the trained assassin as he waited for a response, because he doesn't see murder on the menu today.
