She's happy and proud of herself for getting him to laugh so much, she doesn't usually think of herself of being that funny. Sure, her kids laughed at her sometimes, but she always figured it was just because she said something out of touch that they thought was funny.

"Hmm, well, it's not like we have enough time to do any strength or endurance training, we're gonna have to work with what we got. I think we should concentrate on technique, things like how to throw a punch without breaking your fingers or wrist, and since we all get weapons we should make sure everyone can use 'em. Especially since easy shit like guns aren't gonna fly, people gotta really know how to use what they got."
