Everything happens so fast that Zafika barely has time to curse losing their dagger, and suddenly the monster has burst like a bubble and they're covered in slimy, stinky, yellow blood. And some of it had even gotten into their mouth, making them gag before they quickly spit out the disgusting stuff. On days like these, they really, really hate their job.

They wipe as much of the blood off from their face as possible so they can see what the hell is going on and, oh, oh poor Gail is covered in blood too. Seems like he stomped on the monster. For now though, their priority is finding their dagger and to clean it from the blood so Muraj can make it disappear without getting dirty himself. Time to find the dagger from this pool of slimy blood.
