He's trying not to be careful! His balance is normally excellent, but he wants to see what this could do to a monster who isn't expecting it.

Which is to say, yes, his feet are jolted out from under him, one dragged back, the other pulled fully off the ground and he falls forward. He's quick enough to catch himself before his face hits the ground, but he definitely ends up on hands and knees here for a second.

Only a second though as he leaps back up to his feet, and moves to grab her shoulders. He'll shake her excitedly if she lets him.
