Hey, here's a thing about wild elves! Privacy is incredibly important, and the most important privacy of all is privacy of thought. To speak openly and completely without barriers is a thing only done with the closest of partners, and that makes Garrot's sudden lack of a filter one of the most embarrassing things Gyre has seen in a long time. It's the equivalent of walking in on a roommate in bed with their partner. He's seen something too intimate. Something that is absolutely not for his eyes. Or ears in this case.
He realizes what's happening just a moment before Garrot does, and he looks utterly flustered, his face going darker as he blushes. His cheeks are almost purple? Garrot won't get to see it for very long though because Gyre whips to the side again, covering his mouth as he almost fully turns his back on ?him? Them? Him?? Is he two people or one person in two bodies? He doesn't know, and he can't believe one of them just blurted all that into the air.
What was that about hugging it out??
"It's-- fine, I'm fine. The water d-dilutes it, and, uh--" He is falling over himself trying to find a thread in this conversation he can pick up that Garrot might have actually said without the clone voicing his every thought, and his voice is this unsteady, staccato stutter. He's barely above whispering after a few moments, muttering awkwardly into his hand, "I mean, I couldn't drink it all, uh, it'd be like-- like uh, like if you d-drank a thermos full of. Something sweet for you? Chocolate? I don't know, b-but yeah, I'm fine--?"
