"Yeah, it's the best~" he hums as he rolls over and hops up to his feet with a low grunt. He actually heads for his clothes as well, but instead of putting anything on, he fishes out the exact jewel they're asking him about. He looks a little surprised that they brought it up actually, staring at it for a second. It's a thoughtful silence, half pondering old mistakes, half wondering how he's even supposed to explain the thing. Most wild elves know what it is, or at least have some idea, and they do not want to talk about it. That's half the reason he took it off so automatically when they were together.
He slowly untangles the gold chain, and drops it over his head, moving towards the wood pile as he speaks. "It's uh... me? This body... it looks like me, but I'm actually here," and he touches the gem. "I have to stay close to it."
"Uh," he murmurs, trying to find a topic to talk about instead as he gathers up a few logs and brings them back over, tossing one into the fire pit. He actually looks at them for the first time in a bit, and finally sees that they're dressing again? He looks confused! "Are you going to head home?" he asks, and there's this tiny note of sadness in the very back of his throat. He expects his various lovers to leave once they're finished with him, but he had thought for a moment that they might stick around when they asked for the fire to be rekindled.
