Matilda’s face is pale as she adjusts her goggles, for once missing her bright flush. There’s something so much more nerve wracking this time- with their team split between two monsters. And now Zafika’s counting on her, which makes the entire thing a billion times worse- people depending on her doesn’t always turn out the greatest. Still, she can’t let Zafika down, so she nods at them.
“Right— I’m ready!” She nods again, more forcefully this time, ignoring the feeling of uncertanty that’s pooling in her stomach, especially when the trust word comes out. That brings the scarlet back to her cheeks at least. “I won’t let you down.” She sounds sure of herself about that at least, as she holds out a gloved hand for them to take.
