Haizea actually recoils, both from the wave of gross blood and the high pitched screaming, but keeps the naginata lodged in its eye, shoving it deeper if she can in grim determination.

She doesn't bother to pull out the naginata but just jumps back and puts some distance between herself and the monster, calling the wind to swirl around herself protectively.
