“Lay off him,” Haizea says, struggling to sit up, “I’d be dead if he wasn’t here. He ain’t used to fightin’ like us, but he did a good job.” She’s a little dizzy from all that but manages to stay sitting up. Her wounds definitely need attention, but her high pain tolerance has yet to fail her. Just... don’t expect her to walk just yet.
At least the rain is doing a decent job of washing away most of the blood, and Haizea noticed her naginata is lodged in the wood of the boardwalk some distance away. It must have been shot out of the water along with all the other monster bits.
