When Haizea does wake up, she almost panics. If she didn’t spot the note right away, she probably would have just pulled off any probes monitoring her vitals and bailed ASAP. As it is, she gives herself just a moment to dwell on her embarassment before pulling on the hoodie, turning off the monitors and then pulling off the probes.

She disappears out of the hospital quickly and quietly and makes her way back to Bamborough and her hotel room. As much as she wants to eat immediately, she wants to shower and change her clothes more. Her clothes from earlier in the day she’ll get laundered, but the red ribbon she ties her hair up with she hand washes and hangs up to dry.

Exhausted and hungry and embarassed she may be, but she’s alive.
