The doctor has two teenagers and a very moody young adult, so he picks up on Haizea's sarcasm after the first syllable. Garrot flinches backwards, visibly offended for a single gasp, until he leans back in, puffing his chest out like a bizarrely flamboyant bird.
"You think you're outclassed already?" Garrot's smirking, and he arches an eyebrow at her. He's absolutely playing along, because he grabs another onion ring and just lazily spins it around his finger like a little hula-hoop. "I didn't even get to say that I was engineer smart, too." And then he curls the hooping finger and takes a huge bite out of his onion ring, talking with his mouth not-very-full. "I'm a terror at board game nights."
