[ He shrugs off the apology easily enough- she's hardly the first to ask that so readily! But as Garrot watches her talk through her thought processes, his eyes go wide- this is really cool! Sharpening his kid's teeth seems like a really time-intensive process though, and like it could maybe be a bit more... permanent.
But then she asks about his eyes. His eyes are cool, so he starts grinning again! ]
Yep! [ Garrot closes one eye, blinks the other, and suddenly it's that teal color again. He opens the first eye and it's still green. ] When they're blue like this, I can tell when something's messed up. [ He keeps blinking his eyes, this time a bit more forcefully, and the one teal eye begins to alternate. What a show-off. ] So hypothetically, if you hurt your arm and you weren't sure if it was broken, I could just [ He forcefully blinks the green eye, and now it's teal. ] take a look at it and I'd know. Definitely cheaper than an x-ray, huh?
[ He takes a breath, closes his eyes for a moment, and they're back to green. Time to bring things back around. ] I don't know about Ursula's teeth. I mean, that'll last a lot longer than a birthday, and she's just about to start losing her baby teeth, and we don't know if all of her adult ones will be pointy. [ He realizes he's rambling a bit, and just sort of chuckles awkwardly to himself. ]
Physically, she's as adorable as a puppy, but genetically she's some kind of mutt. [ A small, carefree sigh. ] Like, for all I know, she could start growing horns next month! [ Garrot sounds a little exasperated by that, but he's mostly amused. ] Ursula... doesn't like plans much. [ Because she's seven and would much rather be Doing Things and Eating Sugar, let's be honest. ]
