"It's grass outside. We're moving quickly," he says sharply, mostly as a way to roll this idea over in his head. He's been practicing with his powers, but he's not exactly confident with them, especially not in a high pressure situation. He pauses a moment, glancing around the car, seeing the wizard. Seeing the monster come through the door so that the heat pours over him. He's trying to find some other solution.

Instead he gets pushed a second time, and that's what makes up his mind. He stumbles in place, catching himself on one of the seats. "I can do it. We need to get out of here." So he'll figure it out, he supposes.

This is to say, he grabs them both, pulling them to the end of the train car. It takes some fiddling with the door lock to get it to unlock while they're moving, but he throws it open before too long. Again, he's struck still for a beat, looking outside and wondering if he's about to kill all three of them.

No. He's not. He forces himself to believe he can do this, and he says quickly, "Stay close to me. We might hit the ground hard." And he won't give either of them very long at all to think about what that might feel like before he tugs them both close and uh throws all three of their bodies in a bundle out the door.

His shield flickers to life, shimmering like a bubble, first as a sheet between them and the ground, and then as a full sphere around them. They'll hit the ground once and bounce, the shield catching the majority of their momentum and distributing it as this brilliant flash of light around them, and then he drops it, so that they hit the ground from a few feet up and stop. It's jarring but hopefully it won't hurt any of them too badly.
