The extending arm was a surprise, but one Rory was prepared for. These monsters weren't like any of the naturally occurring species on the planet - she would never assume their skills would be limited to what they could do. So she's ready with her sword, and her voice.

"GET BACK!" She roars against the wind at the rapidly approaching hand, and swings her sword just in case she failed to push it away. At the same time, this was a suggestion for her two companions. Looks like they'll have to fight sooner than later! The heat is back, too!
