The cheeky remark works wonders, and Zafika looks the smallest bit embarrassed, forcing themselves to look away from the cracks and instead up towards the mountain. "Right, yeah, we still need to figure out what's going on with those doors... I can still lead the way, don't worry. Just need to make sure I don't step on any more cracks, right?"

Day three left them with no time to dwell on the deflected question asking, and after a heart attack and some hugging, they're wondering about what he would have asked if the dinner hadn't become little disastrous. "I still owe you that one answer to any question you want to ask, and we have plenty of hiking left to do."
