The club slams off his shield as well, though he flinches away automatically, gasping as he expects to be hit and releasing her arm. He retreats back from her after that, taking a deep breath and slowly, slowly exhaling. With his breath, his shield begins to shimmer like a dragonfly's wings, glittering in the air to show her exactly how far out he's holding that shield. He's not going to just let her hit him.
"No we won't! The last one survived just fine. They let me go and I didn't even have to hit them!" he says quickly, trying to figure out her fear. Why would she have to fight and die, when Four didn't? It doesn't make sense!
