The world spins a little at that revelation. The princess killed them this morning? Why! He feels like he would've heard if the monster had attacked again, but he can't imagine Luka just walking up to someone and killing them out of nowhere. He shakes his head, and the shield flickers, and it's pure battle experience that makes him look up when they release the arrow. It bounces off the shield, and in it's wake, he holds his hands up, looking miserably angry now as he tries to find the right words.

"No, they didn't," he says softly, leaving a space here for them to realize he's agreeing with them before he says anything else. "Do you need to kill one of us to do what you all need to do? Or is it just revenge, kit'a?"
