At Gyre's request, the Protector ceases his advance. He narrows his eyes, keeping his sword held high. He's clearly taking a moment to observe the situation around them, and that situation is: A lot of eyes. A lot of observers. A lot of witnesses.

He makes a "Hm" sound for a moment before acknowledging Gyre's request.

"Do so. Do not attempt deception." He answers. But uh... he's absolutely going to continue following Gyre, blade held at the ready. If Gyre makes any move to attack him, he's going to strike.
