Gyre is silent for a few moments, watching his face and considering. He doesn't know how to convince Luka that she's not a risk, or if she is, it's not as much of a risk as they've all been lead to believe. He sighs as well, honestly, mirroring the other as he slumps forward very slightly.
"Me neither. I wish I had paid more attention over the decades," he says softly, dully. He hates this actually. "I... I can't trust a man who would stab me in the back. Or one who tells his soldiers to disregard empathy in war. Has he told you that they're children?"
