He snorts and smacks one knee in absolute amusement when he says the Protector is even more vague! How! How could any person be more vague then her! It'd be hilarious if it wasn't the world on the line.

"She's said the same to me. She has to kill the Protector at the end. I wonder if it's just because she feels powerless against him. Maybe the child can change things," he murmurs, musing out loud at this point. He wants to find some third path out of this, one where as few people die as possible. He doesn't like the Protector, but if there's a way to get out of this cycle with him alive then that would be the better option.
