"He doesn't have me as controlled as he thinks he does." Luka says, crossing his arms indignantly. "It seems like there's less and less of us on his side, the more I talk with the Knights. He's really fucking up and I'm out here trying to vouch for him, to people who want him dead, like I'm some kind of idiot."
Luka sighs again and pushes his plate away, half-eaten sandwich sitting unloved.
"Even though I know he would kill me without a second thought if he knew. But..." Luka hesitates, but he can't seem to stop his words from coming. "Well, I've been on his side. He supported me, or he said he did. He's never made a move against me, and it would feel wrong to betray him."
