Luka completely detects the Stern Fatherly Disapproval that is absolutely radiating off of Garrot. He shrinks into himself uncharacteristically, because Luka knows that he's right.
"Hm, twice a day. I could manage that." He admits quietly. It isn't until Garrot mentions grieving that Luka realizes just how close to home they must have been hitting. But Garrot was absolutely correct - of course he would be, it was his lived experience - and Luka can only surrender to his demands.
He takes his phone and snaps a picture of himself before tapping away at a text to his mother:
'Love you, mama. We're doing okay. I'll see you in a week.'
He sends it off when he's finished and near immediately his phone is buzzing with dozens of texts. If Garrot can keep up with his screen reader he might catch what's being said, but Luka shares regardless.
