"I just meant, I mean - I was surprised that you'd be so hesitant to go along with Sxicq's plan just because it hasn't been done before. There's a lot of things that haven't been done before, but we try them anyways, because otherwise you just do the same thing forever. Right?"

He turns to Gyre, expecting affirmation.

"I want them to be right because I haven't heard of any other possibility for saving everyone short of throwing Sxicq back into their prison. And even that isn't a permanent solution, right? It would just prolong their suffering and the planet dies anyway."
