"Haven't they all been around for forty years?" Luka had never considered that the monsters might have any concept of age. He'd just barely accepted that they had a house. "How could he forget about or not realize something like that? Even little kids figure out blindness pretty quick."

He returns his focus straight ahead. He understood very little about all of this - the monsters, the Wizard, and how they lived and felt about things. It was never something that was discussed or even mentioned. Probably because anyone who found out about it ended up dead.

"Six asked why I didn't get my eyes fixed." He laughs softly. "It makes me curious about Eight. Ten implied he wasn't very nice, though, so maybe he won't talk to me."
