Gyre listens to the two of them and despite himself, he smiles faintly, making a low amused noise as he helps Garrot down a particularly steep bit of the cave floor.

"Oh, will you be bringing a new act for my next show, princess?" he murmurs teasingly. He's not speaking very loudly, and his heart isn't in it, but he's really trying to keep the mood up before they get where they're going.

"Sounds fun."
