Gyre grits his teeth at the idea of Luka dying. He's fine if it's himself. He's died before, and much as he wants to help with this, he's had his time. But...

"But you're important. Symbolic. People will listen to you," he says, his voice insistent. "I don't know how we'll make this work without you..."

He sighs softly after that, clearly uncomfortable with this whole plan. Both are bad! But he'd rather be there then not, if only because he trusts himself to be able to defend them both. Ugh, this sucks.
