Despite all the dangerous battles the Knights had been through up to this point, Luka is still amused by the story - and he's equally amused by how much Gyre seems to enjoy recalling it.

"Your spouses? You were married?" Luka doesn't bother to lift his head, though his wandering hand pauses in place. It's more of a curious question than a troubled one - though most people Luka had been with didn't bring up their exes in bed, Gyre also wasn't anything like the others.
