Oh! Luka is surprised by the shifting of positions, but he's happy to accept it - despite losing his potential tiddy pillow, he finds its much easier to continue petting Gyre's hair like this. It was nearly a fair trade.

"Yeah." He sighs. "I think it will be work we will be happy to do. We'll lose a lot if we have to lose this planet, but when we rebuild we can build it better than this one. Like, we can do our best not to build all that suffering into it, right?"

Maybe it was overly hopeful. It was definitely glossing over just how gutting leaving behind a planet with thousands of years of history lived on it would be. But Luka wasn't going to concern himself with painful realities. Not here, not now.
