"Yeah..." Garrot acknowledges the remark, in a halfhearted, almost fake kind of way. He doesn't feel comfortable telling Gyre that his power's gotten easier to manage because of the Protector. There's even a flash of anger on his face for a moment as the thought bubbles up. He wishes he could just turn that upgrade off altogether, just cleanse himself of that murderous bastard's influence. But he pushes it down, pushes it away. He can't express his emotions until everyone's here. He only has the resolve to declare his father's killer once, tops. So he'll dance away from that.
