Gyre's shoulders slump slightly when she confirms that he can't change anything. He was pretty sure that was the case, but it's still deeply disappointing to hear. The world could be so much different and, maybe, so much better then this if they could stop it all from happening.

"Okay. That's... that's good," he says softly, nodding very slightly. He watches Five try to resist the mug before taking it, and he smiles fondly at her. She's a sweetheart underneath all the guff, and he knows that.

"Can I do it? I need Sxicq's help for it, don't I?"
