Garrot, on the other hand, is very comforted by the fact that at least one of the monsters doesn't know what's going on. It makes him feel less out of the loop, less useless. And as he watches things unfold, the most he can contribute seems to be just getting food. They've survived eight days of this, and all he can do is walk to the kitchen. It makes him want to scowl and scream, but as soon as he hears Five say she wants to make sure Nine is alright, his bodies move almost automatically. Two Garrot clones extend towards where he'd thrown that bucket, and they disappear as it's tossed back to the original. Then, the now-singular Garrot grabs the empty bucket in one hand, a filled bucket in the other, and walks over to Five and Nine.

"You can sit her on this and clean that crap off her, if you want." And then Garrot sets down the filled bucket and flips the other before it thuds into the floor, a makeshift stool. His head gestures towards that towel, because it is just right there, before smiling at Five. "I'll check her out when I get back, okay?" But then he turns to the door, putting his back to the wall below (above?) it. And then there's another Garrot standing on his shoulders, trying to open the door. It's uh a lot harder to do that when you're upside-down and standing on yourself.

"And we climb, obviously." And then the bottom Garrot links his hands together to make a little platform for Gyre to step on.
