She flicks the knife as if she's closing it in her palm, but the action makes the knife disappear. She needs both hands to pick up the plates after all! While Gyre handles the dog plate, she holds up the boar plate with its design towards him and a little smile.

"We each picked a knight one year." She answers, scrunching up her face for a moment as she looks down at them.

"One for each of their companions. We thought the knights brought them with them. We were surprised when they came back the next year. And kept coming back." She explains, offering the boar plate to Gyre so she can pull out both the Dragon and Rat plates.
