Day 2: Morning
Morning: 6:00am - 12:00noon
[ IRL Timeframe: March 17th -It's a bright new morning and the first monster has been defeated, the first hurdle has been cleared and everything is going great. The heroes should be feeling good, everything should be going according to plan. Especially because when the heroes wake up this morning, they'll be treated to a set of kigurumi pajamas themed after their animal companion sitting right beside them. Each set has a little note on it that says "From me to you" with a stylized "Wizard" signature beside it.
The morning should prove fairly uneventful. In striking comparison to the first day, the island is much quieter than it was before. Instead, the day's celebration is centralized on the train that circles the island. One eight-car train is circling the entire island, taking a little over an hour and a half to make its circles. It's 30 minutes between each city and the train isn't stopping. Each car on the train is open and any hero can board it free of charge. There are party cars, food cars, and lounge cars to enjoy on the trip around the island. There are also some commemorative prints and products available near the caboose of the train, some sellers having already gotten hard at work to create products to sell. They're seeking to get a seal of approval from the heroes themselves on them!
For the Princess and the Protector as well as the Wizard and her evil-allured knights, their dream threads will go on until the Second Monster arrives.
Most importantly, a certain knight has a message for the rest of his allies at the bright and early hour of 6:30am.
The Weather
- Slightly Windy.
- 64°F / 18°C
- The trees are rustling, flower petals in the air.
Prompts:
- 6:30am Punch Club, Bamborough: A message reaches the group with... an attached video? Opening the file shows Garrot staring straight at his phone's camera with a big smile. "Rise and shine, team!"
- x:xxam Train Ride: The party train is available for any hero who finds it. It'll be rolling through Far Haven at 6am, 7:45am, 9:30am, and 11:15am. It'll be rolling through Bamborough at 6:35am, 8:20am, 10:05am, and 11:50am. It'll be rolling through Craydon at 7:10am, 8:55am, 10:40am, and... well, this post only goes until noon. The next stop in Craydon is out at 12:25pm which is in monster arrival territory. While on the train, your hero can get up to anything. Will they discuss with the others what they think of the first line of hero products? Does this action figure look funny? Do these stickers look okay? Discuss and deal with vendors or just party it up elsewhere on the train!
- 10:30am, Power Plant, Far Haven: Social Media is abuzz that the Wizard has made an appearance in the power plant in Far Haven. She could wipe power out to the whole island if she wanted to, she could turn the connections to chocolate, or she could just be standing around. She hasn't done anything as far as the cell phone videos show, but is that going to last?
- 11:30am, Relaxing Time, Craydon: The residents of craydon, with the assistance of some of their kids, sent out invitation videos to ask the Princess and knights if they wanted to drop by Craydon and join in a meditation session. They're going to meditate outside, in the woods, and relax as much as possible before the next monster arrives. The residents of Craydon are emphasizing how important it is to keep mentally healthy above all else. Which of your fellow heroes have joined in on this session?

"Theory doesn't matter because you're still gonna get caught like a deer in the headlights." He crosses his arms, and just stares at the Knight, his voice going deadpan. "That's why I had you put your phone away, so you focused on what you were doing and instead of what you were thinking. And it was working!" But then he pinches the bridge of his nose, and sighs.
"You walked in here and asked me to teach you something, and you couldn't decide what." And he starts gesturing with his hands. "I offered you weapons and you ignored them and asked about being pinned and punched. Then you wouldn't let me pin you, and you freaked out when I kicked you!" Then Garrot takes a step towards Seth, towering over him and staring down with a particularly displeased glare.
"Thinking you can predict anything about these monsters is gonna get you killed, Seth." He gets as close to scoffing through his nose as is possible. Not even worth playing the Dead Dad card. "This won't stop being overwhelming after a few hours of practice. How about you trust me to do my job so you can learn what you failed to years ago?"

Well, it kind of gets Seth angry at Garrot...but also annoyed at himself.
"Even if I'm going to get caught like a deer in the headlights, if I have at least something to refer to it'll help me react rather than just fumble in place! I want to learn but it's kind of hard to learn when all I am is scared out of my mind at what's happening! I get I need to learn fast but I still think going over whatever you want me to try more slowly first, at least ONCE, would still help because how am I going to learn if all I can focus on is trying to not panic! I'm not big, or strong like you, I'm average at best, likely far worse in everything but strenght and speed, even going outside my own home terrifies me but I'm trying here dammit! Maybe I won't be able to predict anything about the monsters, and yeah trust me I fucking know it won't stop being overwhelming after a few hours of practice, but just jumping in and trying to experience it as a method of learning isn't the best for me BECAUSE I'm so inexpirienced and frankly pathethic! Would it kill you to at least take what I'm saying about myself into consideration on how to teach me!? Yeah I'm scared of pretty much everything right now, especially when it comes to fighting, yes I should still try even though it's so goddamn tempting to just flee and go home and it's why I'm still here dammit!"
He huffed in anger, typing one more bit. "Look, I'll give stuff you want to teach me via practice a try, even though it terrifies me, I'll even give the weapons a try if you want me to and I'll put the phone back away, but work with me here and go over it slowly with me first, like it was happening in slow motion. At least give it a try!"
There's definitely fight in him Garrot, even though it kind of has to dragged out.

"About time you shut the fuck up." The words are grumbled out, and he is not impressed. "I've been teaching self-defense for years, with kids who have a lot more going on than you." Garrot doesn't know Seth's life and doesn't sound like he cares. But he takes a step back, eager to put a little distance.
"You're presumptuous and disrespectful." He takes a long breath out through his nose. "You were putting words in my mouth yesterday, and now you're trying to make me out to be the bad guy for doing everything you asked. I gave you options, I told you what to expect, and I waited for your approval before I did anything." Another sigh. "I have been nothing but considerate to you, Seth. But no matter what I say or do for you, I'm not the expert, I'm the bad guy."
Garrot turns to walk away, stopping for a moment to grab a long staff from the weapon rack. "If you want theory, online videos won't walk away when you treat them like shit." And then he beelines for an outside door so he can do some work of his own. Goodness knows he's got some new irritation to get out of his system.

...to the point that he actually grabs his bag and runs after Garrot while still typing.
"Hello pot the names kettle! I apologized for putting words in your mouth once I realized it but you're bringing it up now as ammunition against me! And I'm not out here to make you the bad guy, that's all in your head, I'm just trying to say that after these couple of tries I think adding an extra step into this type of training method would be very helpful for me! Yes, you waited for my approval maybe, but that doesn't change the fact I was fucking scared during those tries! You may be an expert in this but I highly doubt you can just instantly tell how best teach each individual. I may be saying things wrong, I'm not a very good communicator but I'm trying. And I'm not saying you haven't been considerate, you have and I appreciate it, especially what you did yesterday. But most importantly, don't you DARE say you know everything that's going on with me from a few interviews that I didn't even really stick around for!!!"

"Look kid, I don't need to know your life to know I don't want you in mine." Garrot shoots a glare to the side, still not turning to face Seth. "When you apologized, I said to do better, and you're showing me worse. So you're presumptuous, disrespectful to me and my boundaries, and youre... is the word abusive?"
He raises an eyebrow and the aggravated scowl fades for a moment. "I mean, I walked away! You're chasing and stalking and harassing me and you said my feelings are all in my head, and- fuckit I'll ask Miri later, she'll know." He's right back to scowling.
"Point is, you're being a pain in my ass and I'm tired of it. If you don't go away right now, I'll have to assume that..." Garrot glares towards Seth with his meanest, most monstrous grimace. "...You're cozied up with the Wizard and are trying to sabotage the only doctor in the group."

Seth's face absolutely falls at the very first sentence, most of the anger getting buried under hurt. And it just gets worse. He really didn't understand why would Garrot call him presumptuos, or disrespectful, let alone abusive, but dear god does it hurt.
And then he's berating him for following him. In retrospect he'd probably come to consider it a bad move, but he wouldn't call it stalking or harassing. And he still stood form that, while Garrot might feel that way, he really wasn't trying to make Garrot a bad guy.
And then he basically accused him of being on the Wizard's side if he didn't go away right that instant. Yikes, he was really going all out in absolutely trashing Seth verbally.
Seth's face dropped to stare at the floor, hiding half of his face under his hat.
"...might be better if I actually was."
At least then he'd be able to be of use to someone from the looks of it.
But, like Garrot told him to...
He left.
Guess it was back to crying in the corner with him.
