Day 2: Morning

Morning: 6:00am - 12:00noon

It's a bright new morning and the first monster has been defeated, the first hurdle has been cleared and everything is going great. The heroes should be feeling good, everything should be going according to plan. Especially because when the heroes wake up this morning, they'll be treated to a set of kigurumi pajamas themed after their animal companion sitting right beside them. Each set has a little note on it that says "From me to you" with a stylized "Wizard" signature beside it.

The morning should prove fairly uneventful. In striking comparison to the first day, the island is much quieter than it was before. Instead, the day's celebration is centralized on the train that circles the island. One eight-car train is circling the entire island, taking a little over an hour and a half to make its circles. It's 30 minutes between each city and the train isn't stopping. Each car on the train is open and any hero can board it free of charge. There are party cars, food cars, and lounge cars to enjoy on the trip around the island. There are also some commemorative prints and products available near the caboose of the train, some sellers having already gotten hard at work to create products to sell. They're seeking to get a seal of approval from the heroes themselves on them!

For the Princess and the Protector as well as the Wizard and her evil-allured knights, their dream threads will go on until the Second Monster arrives.

Most importantly, a certain knight has a message for the rest of his allies at the bright and early hour of 6:30am.

Second Morning Event: All Cities: The Celebration Train.

• 6:30am Punch Club, Bamborough: A message reaches the group with... an attached video? Opening the file shows Garrot staring straight at his phone's camera with a big smile. "Rise and shine, team!"


• x:xxam Train Ride: The party train is available for any hero who finds it. It'll be rolling through Far Haven at 6am, 7:45am, 9:30am, and 11:15am. It'll be rolling through Bamborough at 6:35am, 8:20am, 10:05am, and 11:50am. It'll be rolling through Craydon at 7:10am, 8:55am, 10:40am, and... well, this post only goes until noon. The next stop in Craydon is out at 12:25pm which is in monster arrival territory. While on the train, your hero can get up to anything. Will they discuss with the others what they think of the first line of hero products? Does this action figure look funny? Do these stickers look okay? Discuss and deal with vendors or just party it up elsewhere on the train!


• 10:30am, Power Plant, Far Haven: Social Media is abuzz that the Wizard has made an appearance in the power plant in Far Haven. She could wipe power out to the whole island if she wanted to, she could turn the connections to chocolate, or she could just be standing around. She hasn't done anything as far as the cell phone videos show, but is that going to last?


• 11:30am, Relaxing Time, Craydon: The residents of craydon, with the assistance of some of their kids, sent out invitation videos to ask the Princess and knights if they wanted to drop by Craydon and join in a meditation session. They're going to meditate outside, in the woods, and relax as much as possible before the next monster arrives. The residents of Craydon are emphasizing how important it is to keep mentally healthy above all else. Which of your fellow heroes have joined in on this session?

[She chuckles, pausing to take a bite of bread.] Hmm, so, does that mean you won't be with me when I see him?

[eutychia]

"No, I'll be there tonight. And Rory, too, if everything goes to plan." He says. "I think I have to be there to get you to him. Like, only I can get there and I'm bringing you along, if that makes sense?"

[disguiseself]

I mean, it makes as much sense as anything else, I guess? [She offers with a small smile.]

Hopefully I can actually meet Rory in person before we all go to our Protector date.

[eutychia]

"I'm sure you'll get a chance. If not, the Dream world is as good a place to meet as any."

[disguiseself]

Hmm, I guess that's true.

Anyway, have you had anything for breakfast? Feels kinda weird that I'm stuffing my mouth while you just chill.

[eutychia]

"I haven't... unless coffee counts as breakfast," he says. "I wanted to get out early before I missed much of anything."

[disguiseself]

I know we were overfed yesterday but I don't really think coffee is enough. [Of course, her two large plates of breakfast wouldn't be nearly empty if she hadn't missed dinner yesterday, but it was still the most important meal of the day!]

You never know when you're gonna need that energy, you know?

[eutychia]

"You're right, I could hardly climb all these flights of stairs the Protector had going on last night, it was ridiculous." Luka scoffs. "Not to mention these monster battles. It's a lot of energy expended."

[disguiseself]

Flights of stairs...? [Olivia sees a stairway to heaven in her mind's eye and wonders if this guy really is a God. She shakes her head, guessing she'd find out tonight, either way.]

Uh, the food here is pretty alright, honestly. There's probably better back at one of the towns but— ah, where were you heading, anyway?

[eutychia]

"I'm just riding the train until it loops back to Craydon, actually. I heard there was a lot going on onboard so I thought I'd check it out before I went to the meditation group."

[disguiseself]

You meditate? [Her eyebrows raise as she asks. He didn't really seem like the type.]

I got the invitation, too, but I don't think I'm going.

[eutychia]

"I've never really tried it before. It's not typically my thing but I was won over the the Craydon locals." He says with a smile. "Are you going anywhere else in particular today, then?"

[disguiseself]

Ah, not really. Just enjoying the ride. [No way she was gonna mention her leaving the hotel, at least not until she'd found somewhere safe.]

I'll probably leave once it starts getting crowded.

[eutychia]

"Good thinking. A crowded train doesn't seem particularly fun. If you're trying to avoid people, meditation is a pretty good excuse not to talk to anyone."

[disguiseself]

Hmm, I hadn't thought about that. I never really needed to make excuses... I'm pretty good at hiding in plain sight.

Are you trying to avoid someone, then...? [She asks in a low voice - if the Princess suspects or dislikes anyone then surely she can help him. If not, she still loves tea.]

[eutychia]

"Not particularly. I couldn't bring myself to wake up so early for physical exertion so I passed on the training. Sleeping in was way more appealing."

He pauses for a moment.

"Unless the Wizard counts as a person. I'm definitely avoiding her."

[disguiseself]

[She exhales, making a small "oof" sound.] Trust me, you don't wanna go down that train of thought.

Like, is the Wizard a person? She must have rights then; why can't the Protector and her solve all of this in court? What are the monsters, are they alive? Unique animals? Does that make us poachers? Are they sentient, do they have feelings? Shouldn't they have rights then, too?

[Luka can probably tell she's smiling from the tone of her voice, but it's clear she has thought about all of these questions before.]

[eutychia]

Luka laughs.

"A court settlement would make everything SO much easier. But where's the fun in that? And well, I hope the monsters don't have feelings. But I think it's justified to kill something that's trying to destroy the world, even if it has feelings and rights, no?"

[disguiseself]

Well, that's why we're after the Wizard, yeah? But yesterday the monster was just kind of, you know, running away. And when we found it again it seemed to just be, like, relaxing.

Hmm, maybe we should ask the Protector tonight...

[eutychia]

"Eh, relaxing? I didn't hear about that part. How strange. I wonder what would happen if we just let them do their thing until they proved they were a credible threat? That's definitely something to ask! Maybe we should write this stuff down somewhere."

[disguiseself]

Yeah! It seemed to just be... looking at the sky.

I could write these questions on my phone - ah, assuming I get to have it with me when we meet him...? [Who knows, maybe the Protector doesn't allow phones to spare himself from having his picture taken. That's what Olivia would do if she was in his place, anyway.]
