Day 2: Evening
Evening: 5:00pm - Midnight
[ IRL Timeframe: April 14th - April 22nd, 2019 ]Unfortunately for everyone, the second day's events are far less rewarding than the first day's. Now that things are starting to get real, there are consequences for what's taken place. Both monsters caused a bit of damage and a mess with their departure, but the locals on the island are trying to stay positive. Sometimes things just get messy, they've dealt with this for forty years it's fine.
But the heroes are sure to have a lot on their mind. Injuries mean it's less of a game and more likely to sink in as real. How will your hero cope tonight? The Princess and her two knights are due for a rendezvous with the Protector and, on the other hand, there are some evil-allured knights due for some private time with the Wizard. What will come of that?

Prompts:
- 05:00pm Clean-up Crews: Both Bamborough and Craydon were left with big neon-green splashes of blood that aren't going to just wash off. Numerous locals in both areas are hard at work cleaning up after the second monsters, scrubbing at buildings and assessing the damage to the island. In Bamborough, the locals are hard at work trying to salvage the damage to the boardwalk or put up caution tape around the destroyed areas. Is your hero lending a hand in all this? Is someone else helping? Bond over picking up the pieces, but hey... it could be worse, right?
- 5:30pm, Craydon: Despite being largely untouched by the monster's arrival, the citizens of Craydon have dropped by the train station to check in on the heroes. Anyone in the area will be given a small care package of items and offered a free coupon for any restaurant in the area. Will your hero go alone and run into someone who was craving the same food they were, or will they team up with their fellow heroes to drop by a restaurant together? Everyone needs to unwind, after all!
- 5:30pm, Bamborough: Despite the boardwalk damage, the Bamborough oceanfront diner is offering 'monster margaritas' tonight. They're set up as an open-air bar tonight, doors and windows open to let in the cool sea air. Every hero gets their first monster margarita free if they can stomach the bright green color, and they've got deep fried bar foods for half off. Come in, indulge, have a drink to get your mind off of the events of the day, heroes!
- 5:30pm, Far Haven: The Far Haven clinic has advertised that its doors are open to any hero injured, or just in need of a check-up, for the rest of the evening. They want to check in on all the heroes and make sure they're okay. Did your hero come alone and run into someone here? Or did they come together to get stitched up? Or maybe they just need to be reassured that everything will be okay.
- 8:30pm, 9:05pm, 9:40pm, Train station(s): As always, Social media is incredibly quick to report Wizard appearances. At 8:00pm they report that the Wizard is waiting for the train in Bamborough station. She does, in fact, board the train at 8:30pm and they start theorizing where her destination is. Social media points out that her train will be arriving in Craydon at 9:05pm, then it will get to Far Haven by 9:40pm. If a hero tries to find her when the train arrives back in the Bamborough station at 10:15pm, though, the train will be empty. Where will your hero find her? Bamborough between 8 and 8:30pm? On the train in Craydon at 9:05pm? Or when she disembarks in Far Haven at 9:40pm?

"Wait I'm wha- Oh. Oh right. That. Uh. Thanks." He manages to say after remembering that he did lie about it to Garrot last night. God was it only last night it felt like weeks.
"But I'm fine. I was at the beach? I think? I didn't see the monster so... Wait it blew up!?" And ow okay that hand kinda hurts now! Unfun!

Both hands make an exaggerated exploding motion. That grip is gone now! But then Garrot's other hand goes up... and lands on Gail's shoulder. It's weird having to reach up to someone.
"I also just wanted to thank you. I mean Gail, you're really one of the Knights to keep an eye on!" He's grinning, happy and with pointy teeth! "You're a natural at all this. A hero!" It has not dawned on Garrot that he's missed part of what he wanted to say, the thing that Gail actually did. Because this doctor is a fool.

And then Garrot's hand was on his shoulder and he was saying things like him being a natural at Knight things and a hero and his face started getting redder and redder.
"I.. Oh, that's... I mean, I wouldn't call myself that, haha. I uh, I'm glad I can be of help! I would hate being on everyone's way... So, thank you but um, that's a little over exaggerating.." Gail rambled he was glad! He was very glad that Garrot thought of him as someone useful but he couldn't help but also feel that Garrot thought him being something much more greater than he actually was.

"You're awesome, Gail, you saved my life!" Garrot is one-hundred percent serious, honest, and earnest about those words, and his hands are on those shoulders so the Horse Knight can't run away from this.

"EXCUSE ME!?" he started but quickly closed his mouth and took few breaths, continuing much more quieter, "I mean. I did that? I saved your life?"

"Gail." A beat, and a scrutinizing glare. "Did you miss that?!" He doesn't sound like he believes it, but Garrot does know that Gail and Terrence were out on the beach. "I ran over to distract the monster for you, so Terrence could supercharge you and you could throw that spear." He nods. "I hit it, and it moved its legs so its spiky fuckin' body was falling right towards me."
He looks away for a moment, to the ground, and sighs, speaking softly. "I... don't know if I could've dodged in time." Garrot could've tried to use a clone, but he doesn't know how that would work out. It could backfire! But his mood amps back up again, and suddenly he's puppy-dog excited. "So when you threw that spear and sniped that fucker out of the sky while it was falling?!" His hands finally remove themselves from Gail's shoulders, and then he pumps them into the air!
"It was totally fucking awesome! You're literally my hero!" And then those arms wrap around Gail's body, because you're getting a hug now, buddy.

Gail was already getting bit teary eyes from the overwhelming of emotions but the hug just broke the dam and he was crying on Garrots shoulder and oh god this was embarassing. He immediately went to wipe away the tears and try to stop himself from crying in front of Garrot.
"Sorry, this is, ugh, sorry. It'll stop soon, I guess." He mumbled in between tears, just trying to breathe and not get chocked on tears.

"There's nothing wrong with crying, everyone does it." He sighs, almost happily. "I mean, I was crying just yesterday!" Sure, it was from a trauma- and rage-induced breakdown but that's not a detail he needs to share. "So take as long as you want. Let it all out." And then he gets back to focusing on that hug.
