He watches her stretch in this sort of shamelessly intent way. He's trying to read what he can off her, but also... y'know, she's got a presence that he hasn't missed. He seems utterly content to just lay here in the sand for now though, even beginning to shake his head when she asks about his plans.

At the mention of a sea lion though, he perks up immediately, pushing himself up onto his elbows and looking wide-eyed out at the water.

"You saw one?" He's never really seen big ocean mammals before and his eyes are shining in anticipation all of a sudden.
