Haizea stays a bit closer to the surface, since she DOES need to breathe, and definitely notices that Gyre doesn't seem to share that trait. She keeps sight of him every time she goes under and is baffled but mostly she thinks it's really cool? Like, wow, she'd be able to do SO MUCH MORE in the water if she didn't have to come up for air! Maybe it's some kind of trick, she'll ask him about it later.

Eventually, they approach a rocky outcropping far out to sea, and Haizea gestures at Gyre to surface.
