Seth absolutely tenses when Garrot places the hand on his shoulder, pulling into himself as much as he can, looking at the hand with...fear? He appeared conflicted though.

He just barely comprehends what Garrot says. So he was a Knight too? Well that was somewhat of a relief to hear, though didn't do much to calm his anxiety that had sky rocketed.

Though he didn't realize how deeply touch starved he was, which is why he didn't just pull away from under the hand, the large hand the pressure it held, possibly somewhat worsened by Garrot saying he was pretty good in a fight, reminded him all too vividly of the time he'd been attacked when he'd still gone outside more often.
