Well at least he got this kid to calm down a little. The frantic signing thing makes him nervous every time Seth does it. Now that he's calmer though, Gyre is left to just watch his hands, and ponder what in the absolute world he ought to say. It's a lot of weird assumptions that don't make sense to him. He's never had to think about what other people think of him, but he'll try anyway.

"Does it matter if they don't like you? You're still you, no matter what anyone else thinks." He can just begin to understand that last sentiment at least, and he nods carefully, clearly thoughtful.

"I understand not wanting to be hurt, but you can only do your best if people speak dishonestly to you. You know?"
