"Eh, homes can burn down and you can get picked to be a Knight no matter where you are, so..." Garrot isn't bitter or anything that his companion showed up in his kitchen, not a bit. Nope. And there definitely isn't an angry little scoff either.

"But hey, think of it this way." He's smiling, and even gives his compatriot a thumbs-up! "Once we get through this, you'll be a celebrity and you'll be able to hire a bodyguard and go wherever you want! You can be safe everywhere!"

As far as Garrot is concerned the only way to be safe everywhere is to be combat-trained in a world without the Wizard but, like, details. And of course he's not going to acknowledge the fact that at least a few people die against the Wizard every year, either... Instead he'll just grin as encouragingly as he can muster.
