1. Awakening Zafika had been awake for who knows how long already, just laying in the rather poor and uncomfortable excuse of a bed in their cell, listening in on what the guards down the hall were talking about, and in general anything they could listen to and zone out, to hopefully get some more sleep. There wasn't much they could do in their cell after all, and they weren't allowed to join the other prisoners in the courtyard, so they were locked there. Just when they thought they could fall back to sleep, they heard slithering coming from their cell. Wait. Slithering? No, that shouldn't... nothing should be able to get into their cell, at least not without th guards raising a huge ruckus. They sat up swiftly, the metal handcuffs and the chain attached to them making a jangling sound, and they turned their head to the side to properly face the room. "Who's there...?"
4. Coffee Shop Zafika had managed to get their coffee without problems, most of the staff were aware about basilisks' Stone Eyes ability, so they'd been able to check the menu for the place, and had ended up taking the biggest cup of warm tea they could find in hopes of warming up. Now they were sitting in a sofa corner of the coffee shop, their teacup held between their hands to warm them up as they enjoyed the white noise of the coffee shop. They hadn't been around people in so long, it was nice to get to hear casual, friendly chatter around them. Of course they did hear people whispering about them in the closest tables, but they could ignore that, they were used to it well enough by now.
5. Discomfort Zafika groaned as they found themselves unable to sleep, shivering even underneath the extra blankets they had grabbed. They were so cold, why was the hotel room so cold? They had even turned up the heat in there, but they were still shivering. Eventually they gave up on trying to sleep, and grabbed their blindfold, cloak and bag as they got up from the bed, tying the blindfold over their eyes before they opened the door of their hotel room, stashing the key card to their bag. Well, if they couldn't sleep, they could at least wander around. So, they headed down the hallway, feeling around with their tail to avoid walking into anything or anyone.
