Day 1: Evening

The first day has come to a close, the only things left to do are get some food and get some rest. Fortunately the residents of Bamborough are hosting a party to congratulate the heroes on their first victory, unfortunately it's running for several hours this evening. There's only so much time for sleep. What kind of balance will your hero try to strike?

Unfortunately for everyone, the evil-allured knights will be treated to a rude wake-up surprise when they finally go to sleep. No matter when they finally set their head down to rest, they all wake up at the same time, in the same place. Only the evil-allured knights will have access to this post, click to see if you've been chosen.

The good-allured knights, meanwhile, are free of a visit tonight with the Princess and the Protector. The two of them, however, are due to have a chat. Questions have to be answered, after all! He's dressed in his usual attire:

He's the same height as Luka with dark skin and vivid blue eyes that match the color of the sky. He has wicked winged white eyeliner to accent his eyes and curly black hair with white tips piled on top of his head, it's a wonder how it stays up there. Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly, he's wearing a pajama robe that looks either blue or silver depending how it's touched or how it moves. Most importantly is that he's got brass knuckles on both his hands, like he's ready to fight. But he's not here to fight, he's here to give a whisper about what comes next.

• Bamborough Party: To celebrate the defeat of the first monster, a full banquet is being held near the beach in Bamborough. Unlimited food, unlimited drinks, and most importantly of all was a small stockpile of blankets, sheets, pillows, and toiletries to offer any knight who might've forgotten something on the way out here. Naturally, every item is sponsored.


• You're all over Social Media!: Videos were successfully taken of all twelve knights and the princess during the first battle, and now the world is abuzz about what happened! What are they saying about your hero? How did they even get this footage? Or worst of all, how bad are they dissing your camera skills for those that recorded themselves?


• A late night walk: The first day is over, the first monster is dead. How's your character holding up? Do they seek out support from a fellow hero? Do they spend it alone? What kind of night are they having now that it's all real?


• A late night meal: Anyone leaving the Bamborough party late enough will be able to spot that a local late night ramen shop is open for business. If your hero hasn't quite eaten enough, they can drop by for a bite. But be warned, a certain sleepy villain is getting a bite to eat herself. Care to share a ramen bar meal with the enemy?

It took Seth a surprising amount of time to locate Gail, I mean really, being a centaur you'd think it would have been easy but, somehow no.
So when he finally spotted him he quickly made his way over, since Gail was the second of the two Knights he'd promised himself to try and get to know today still.
Remembering how Zafika had said Gail was a bit easily spooked he made sure to approach him from an angle where Gail would be able to easily see him coming over.

Gail did actually notice Seth approaching and quickly put his phone back to his fanny back. He had Seen him around in the morning but didn't, actually know who he was. Didn't help that he had been running around most of the afternoon.

"Uh hi? You're probably one of the knights too right? I'm Gail it's nice to meet you!"

Seth already had his phone out when he got to Gail, starting to type after Gail had greeted him, glad he hadn't spooked the other Knight.

"Yeah, my name's Seth. I...well I haven't met all the other Knights yet and...Zafika said you were nice so I wanted to talk to you, and well...get to know you."

Oh Zafika had been talking about him!? God he didn't know how to react to this. So nice of them...

"Oh they have? I hope that I um, live up for expectations haha." Gail said, feeling a little bit of pressure to be. Well, what advertised.

[silentwords]

Being anxious himself when it came to socializing (when his energy levels weren't at pretty much zero anyhow), Seth could kind of notice Gail feeling a little pressured from the way he was acting and speaking, actually giving Gail a somewhat understanding look.

"Don't worry. I don't really have any expectations other than a hope to get along...I don't...really get out much so...I uhh...don't really have a lot of friends besides my...uh...let's...not go to that you'll think it weird."

Gail was not going to comment on that, he didn't want to seem rude.

"Well I would be glad to get to know you! It's uh, good to have friends right? Especially us knights, I wouldn't want to make enemies with anyone."

[silentwords]

Seth is a little surprised Gail didn't actually inquire what he had meant, but he was happy for it. He could keep his hobby hidden from at least someone...at least for a little while longer.

"Yeah I...I really hope to get more friends from among the knights. Zafika already said that we were friends, I was honestly so happy about that. But I've honestly just...been really nervous about talking to the Knights I don't know yet and since Zafika said you, and Rory, were nice I wanted to start with you two...though it took me longer to find you than I would have imagined."

[partyhorse]

"Oh I understand really well! Rory and Zafika are both very nice though! I'm very glad I have met them both!!" Gail said, smiling brightly. He truly was thankful for all these people he met in this island! Even though the very first day had already been exhausting.

Seth couldn't help smiling a little too. He'd probably be smiling widely if his expressions didn't tend to be so stunted.

"Me too. Zafika has been one of the first to be so...accepting of me. And not judgemental. And I talked to Rory earlier and she actually offered to talk to the Princess for me...I...don't really get along with him."

Seth pauses for a bit before continuing.
"And well...honestly I figured we might be able to really relate? I mean they said you get spooked kind of easily and...well I really struggle with anxiety. This whole deal is...actually the first time I've been outside my home in months..."

Gail did remember seeing the Princess around, it was actually kind of hard not to notice him, but hadn't actually approached him yet. Shame that Seth seemed to have problems talking with him.

"Oh well. You know. When your senses are Very Very good it's kinda hard to just, not notice things? It's just fine though!!" Gail says before offering a compassionate smile. "Maybe it's good that you got outside? Not to uh, call this situation good, because it isn't, but you know..."

What Gail said about not noticing made sense, and the smile was certainly appreciated. Though he winces when Gail mentions it might be good he got outside.

"I don't know...I mean some others have also said it's good that I've gotten outside but...it's terrifying. I've been basically anxious the whole day and still kind of am, it's just not as bad because my emotional reserves are literally running on fumes. I mean I'm glad I've met Zafika and you and others due to having to come here don't get me wrong on that front but..."

"Oh I see... Sorry if that sounded insensitive! It's just uh, getting cooped inside four walls is very bad for you mentally and stuff." Gail says, hoping that he didn't offend Seth on accident.

"Well that can also be because it's hard for me to find space big enough to handle my size that isn't the outdoors and public areas haha."

[silentwords]

Seth gave Gail a small smile to try and reassure him, he hadn't actually offended him.

"Hey, you at least made a maybe instead of a definite. A small distinction perhaps but one that matters to me."

"Oh I'm glad to hear that!" Gail said, and he meant it. He sensed that Seth was a similar minded person and he really didn't want to screw this up.

Seth smiled a little wider. So far things seemed pretty good, now what to discuss next...

"So...can...I ask what kind of stuff you do to pass time?"

[partyhorse]

Gail went quiet for a while. God what DID he do, outside of partying extensively and getting drunk? Or otherwise being dragged around by his friends to do whatever the fuck they wanted?

"Well, I spend a lot of time with my friends! I don't really have any hobbies, though honestly I've been thinking of getting one. I don't know what though."

[silentwords]

Seth smiled a little, unfortunately having no idea how crappy Gail's friends were.

"Sounds nice. Personally well...my hobby and my job are kind of the same...I...um...make puppets...and dolls..."

[partyhorse]

"Yeah.." Gail said softly. It wasn't. Not truly. However this wasn't about him now.

"Oh that sounds really interesting! I don't know anything about puppets haha. What do you do with them?"

[silentwords]

Seth blushes, fidgeting with his hands for a bit, suddenly seeming very nervous and reluctant to 'talk'.

"Umm...promise...that you won't laugh?"

[partyhorse]

"Of course not! I would never do that!" It's true, he wouldn't. He knows enough about making a fool of himself.

Seth fidgets for a bit more before he takes a deep breath and then let's it out as a sigh and starts to type a response.

"I...well...play with them...I like to arrange them around the house and...spend time with them and...talk to them they...make up the majority of my friends...they were my only friends really, before...this whole thing happened..."

[partyhorse]

Well that wasn't so weird! Just a little lonely... And maybe slightly sad.

"That's nothing to be embarrassed about! They're important to you and that's all that matters right?"

[silentwords]

Seth's shoulder slumped with visible relief with Gail telling him it wasn't anything to be embarrassed about, giving a shy smile.

"I'm...really glad to hear you say that. I think that should be the only thing that matters but...most I come across say it's creepy or weird so...I guess I've become pretty self-conscious about it?"

[partyhorse]

Gail smiled at Seth. He could understand that, even when his situation was much different.

"I can understand but it's not weird! Or creepy! It's just that you're passionate about it, which is really cool! I uh, wish I'd have something like that.."

Seth smiled a little wider hearing Gail say that, which changed into a symphathetic one at the last bit, before turning into an excited one as he typed.

"I'm sure you'll find something eventually...if you want I could...try to help you I guess? Oh! Do you want to meet Abigail? She goes with me everywhere, I could introduce you."
