Day 1: Evening
Evening: 5:00pm - Midnight
[ IRL Timeframe: March 11th - March 18th, 2019 ]The first day has come to a close, the only things left to do are get some food and get some rest. Fortunately the residents of Bamborough are hosting a party to congratulate the heroes on their first victory, unfortunately it's running for several hours this evening. There's only so much time for sleep. What kind of balance will your hero try to strike?
Unfortunately for everyone, the evil-allured knights will be treated to a rude wake-up surprise when they finally go to sleep. No matter when they finally set their head down to rest, they all wake up at the same time, in the same place. Only the evil-allured knights will have access to this post, click to see if you've been chosen.
The good-allured knights, meanwhile, are free of a visit tonight with the Princess and the Protector. The two of them, however, are due to have a chat. Questions have to be answered, after all! He's dressed in his usual attire:
He's the same height as Luka with dark skin and vivid blue eyes that match the color of the sky. He has wicked winged white eyeliner to accent his eyes and curly black hair with white tips piled on top of his head, it's a wonder how it stays up there. Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly, he's wearing a pajama robe that looks either blue or silver depending how it's touched or how it moves. Most importantly is that he's got brass knuckles on both his hands, like he's ready to fight. But he's not here to fight, he's here to give a whisper about what comes next.
The Weather
- Starry Night.
- 64°F / 18°C
- Quite breezy, all the trees are rustling.
Prompts:
- Bamborough Party: To celebrate the defeat of the first monster, a full banquet is being held near the beach in Bamborough. Unlimited food, unlimited drinks, and most importantly of all was a small stockpile of blankets, sheets, pillows, and toiletries to offer any knight who might've forgotten something on the way out here. Naturally, every item is sponsored.
- You're all over Social Media!: Videos were successfully taken of all twelve knights and the princess during the first battle, and now the world is abuzz about what happened! What are they saying about your hero? How did they even get this footage? Or worst of all, how bad are they dissing your camera skills for those that recorded themselves?
- A late night walk: The first day is over, the first monster is dead. How's your character holding up? Do they seek out support from a fellow hero? Do they spend it alone? What kind of night are they having now that it's all real?
- A late night meal: Anyone leaving the Bamborough party late enough will be able to spot that a local late night ramen shop is open for business. If your hero hasn't quite eaten enough, they can drop by for a bite. But be warned, a certain sleepy villain is getting a bite to eat herself. Care to share a ramen bar meal with the enemy?

"Ah, hey there." He glances at the bow as it's offered to him, the smile getting somehow wider as he realizes they must've asked for it for him. He takes it, setting the fiddle in his lap so he can examine how in the hell their companion managed to make a metal bow.
Looking at the bow won't stop him from teasing them though, a laugh in his voice already, "Maybe I was playing specifically to attract you here so I didn't have to look~ A little wild elf magic, perhaps?" It's not, but he feels comfortable enough with them to joke about some of the weirder stereotypes out there, and all at once he sweeps his fiddle up into the crook of his neck, dragging three long notes off the strings. The sound is still strange and tinny, but he sets a little vibrato in there at the end, and it's definitely clear he can play the absolute shit out of this instrument.
no subject
At his teasing they fake an offended gasp, playfully swatting at Gyre with their tail. "What? How dare you, playing a trick like that on me...!" It's very clear that they're going along with the joke, and they can't even keep up the act, they can't help but to smile in his presence. They decide to move next to him to lean against the same tree, they're fine letting him have his fun with getting to play a bit better.
"Oh, right, good job, by the way. I saw the injury you gave to the monster, it was a huge help in taking it down. Thank you." They, honestly would rather not talk too much about the subject, but, they want to congratulate and thank him.
no subject
"Mmn, it was nothing." Just like hunting an animal honestly. It'd been decidedly horrifying that the thing hadn't died after taking an injury like that, but he doesn't really want to dwell on it either. Instead, he sets the fiddle on the ground beside him, reaching over to wind his hand around their tail and giving it the gentlest pull. They're a ways out of view and he feels more bold in the moonslight.
"Come sit down here with me, pretty thing."
no subject
When he stops, they open their eyes and turn to look at him, just in time as he winds his hand around their tail and pulls on it again. It's gentle, and they got to prepare for it this time, so their only reaction is for their tail to wrap around his forearm.
"Ah, there come the compliments again I see." They don't mind, as they sit down next to him, but, out of years of habit, they leave some space between them, they don't want to invade his personal space too much. Still, they do leave their tail wrapped loosely around his arm, the physical contact was.. nice, and in a way bit comforting too.
no subject
"Is it too much? You can sit here if you want," and he pats the ground beside him. There is this little worry in his chest that he's overstepped his bounds, but he really does want them close. He's comfortable around them, and comfort to him means uh rampant physical contact basically. Wild elves are very affectionate. Gyre's just a bad example of that, refusing to just close the distance himself in case they don't want it.
no subject
Habit they've had for years is hard to drop, at least this suddenly, and they hope they didn't offend Gyre, or that he'll understand. With their lifestyle, they've learned to keep distance between themselves and practically everyone else. For roughly ten years. Yeah, this habit would be hard to drop.
no subject
"I understand, I think," he murmurs, looking upwards thoughtfully. He's never been in prison, of course, but he's been far away from people for so long, it's sometimes easy to put unnecessary distance between himself and other people. He's ignoring the impulse now, leaning in to the affection he used to show to so many people. He misses it, but this is enough for now.
"I enjoy your company though." So don't mind him selfishly asking for them to be here despite their habits.
no subject
Except, there are none. They bite their lip slightly, before they slowly and carefully lean against him as well, and their eyes close with an, almost happy sigh, as they allow themselves closeness they hadn't even realised they had missed.
"I enjoy your company too. It's... it's relaxing, calming.." As they admit this, their tail snakes around his arm more, to keep him close.
no subject
"One day down. Twelve to go~" he hums lightly, letting his other hand reach over and settle lightly on the coils of their tail. He's utterly comfortable in this moment. It's a wonder what a little contact will do.
no subject
At his reminder that they still had twelve days to go, their tail wraps more tightly around his arm, while it wraps loosely around the wrist of his other hand. Wrapping their tail around whatever it came to contact with seem to be a relfexive reaction. "I hope the rest of the monsters don't go down like this one-" They'd rather not make it a habit of being covered in gross monster blood over and over.
no subject
"You... No one was hurt." He tilts his head, his fingers pressing deeper against their scales.
"Well, one person. But not badly. It seems like it couldn't have gone better then this." A little mess seems like a good deal compared to a person dying.
no subject
Though with Gyre still leaning against them, they're really becoming aware of their lack of strength. Because, they're starting to have a bit harder time keeping both of them upright, even with how they're leaning against the tree behind them. They're not going to keep their balance for much longer, but they don't want to push him away either.
no subject
"True. I hope that next time, we can be more organized..." He doesn't want to call out the people who ran recklessly ahead, but he sure does wish they had waited and worked together.
"It only gets harder from here."
no subject
Which happens sooner than they expect. Because as they're about to agree with Gyre about hoping everyone can be organised in the future, they slip to the side enough that their support from the tree and they go toppling down to the ground with a surprised, almost squeak like noise. Okay, if this is how they go then this is how they go.
Unfortunately, since Gyre had also been leaning on them, and with their tail wrapped around both his arms, he goes falling right after them, and in a matter of seconds they're squished between him and the ground. Well then.
no subject
Falling wasn't a feeling he was expecting! But it sure is happening, his body slumping after them. He definitely tries to catch himself and sit back up somewhere in the middle of it, only to realize that yeah, his arms are absolutely tied up, and he doesn't have to time to yank himself away.
He... doesn't exactly mind though? He falls onto their side, and the near full body touch is wonderful for him at least. Enough that he doesn't say anything for a good few beats here, letting the situation settle.
Eventually though, he murmurs, "Sh... should I... Are you okay?"
no subject
"Ah, yeah, I'm, I'm okay. Sorry about that-" They don't know if they should admit that they 100% lack proper physical strength because of jail and risk worrying Gyre, or if they should just say that they lost balance because he's heavy. Or, well, heavier than them.
Instead of saying either of those things, they don't say jack shit, instead trying to get themselves sorted out to a position that's not uncomfortable for their arms and legs.
no subject
As they move themself, he pulls his own body upwards slightly, watching them intently.
"It's fine. You don't need to apologize~" he purrs, just in time to lay himself right on top of them as they roll onto their back. He folds his arms across their belly, balancing his chin on top so that his body is laid between their legs, his weight holding them down.
"This work for you?"
no subject
First thing that comes to their mind, from their training and years of experience, is that this is bad for their safety, they're in an incredibly vulnerable state right now. They push down the assassin way of thinking though, but it leads to them realising just how intimate this kind of positioning can be, and they swear their heart skips a beat, their eyes glued to Gyre as they prop themselves up on their elbows.
"Y-yes.. this is, this is fine.." Yep, they're a goner for real this time, and they want to smack themselves as their tail goes right back to curling around Gyre, securing him right there. Fuck.
no subject
"Good cause you're comfy. Maybe I'll spend the night just like this~" He's definitely teasing. Mostly teasing? Somewhere in there. Mostly, he's just content in this moment, sighing happily as he settles into place atop them.
no subject
"Maybe not here. Too many people who are still close by." But they're not refusing the idea. They wouldn't mind getting to spend the night like this, cuddled up to Gyre in a way. His weight on them isn't uncomfortable for them at all, strangely enough, but they decide not to think about it too much, and instead enjoy the closeness.
no subject
"We could head deeper in," he says, nodding towards the trees. He's got no problem rolling around in the grass. In fact, it's often his preferred way to cuddle with people honestly, and he's hoping Zafika shares his opinion.
no subject
So, the decision is actually very easy. At once, They push themselves to a sitting position, pulling themselves away from beneath Gyre with their arms and quickly stand up, the tip of their tail dragging along his spine as their tail unwraps from around him, and they quickly remove it from his reach. No bold moves just yet. "Alright, let's go then. I've had more than enough of crowds and chatter for today."
no subject
"Help me up?" he whimpers, offering a hand up to them. Look, you threw him in the grass and now he's just the saddest boy. Don't mind the twinkle of amusement in his eye please.
no subject
However, hearing him whimper makes them feel bad for a moment. But just for a moment, until they see the twinkle of amusement in his eyes, and just roll their eyes as they take Gyre's hand into theirs and help him get up. "Well someone's being dramatic. Wasn't this your idea?"
no subject
"Sure, but I'd never just shove you into the grass. You're lucky I'm not an angry person~" He's clearly teasing, taking a hard left towards Craydon.
"Do you want to come to my camp, or will anywhere more private do?"
