Day 1 - Morning
Morning: 06:00am - 12:00noon
[ IRL Timeframe: February 18th - February 25th, 2019 ]The day begins quietly, with no indications that anything strange could occur today. The Princess and the Knights have all arrived on the island. Maybe you arrived a few days ago or maybe you just got off your red-eye flight before the sun came up. Everyone's on Harsen Island and so is the Wizard.
Things start simpler for Luka Eutychia, Olivia Walkyr, and Rory Honeycomb. The instant they set foot on the island, Olivia and Rory will both get an image of Luka in their heads and realize that they are the good-allured knights and he's the Princess. Luka, meanwhile, will see both Olivia and Rory in his thoughts and realize they're the good allured knights.
The Weather
- Sunny.
- 72°F / 22°C
- Slightly breezy, makes the trees wave.
Prompts:
- 6:00am: It's the early morning celebration van! In all three towns, someone's driving around a vehicle playing blaring music and shouting "Let's go Knights! Let's go Princess! Beat that Wizard!". Seems like someone wants the heroes to succeed, hopefully your characters weren't sleeping. If you confront them, maybe they'll have something to say?
- 8:00am: Far Haven: All Knights and the Princess are invited to a big breakfast banquet. Come one, come all! Maybe meet some of the locals? Maybe chat with your fellow heroes? All knights are given lanyards, but the princess gets a lanyard and a crown if he's here, and they're all seated at the big hero table.
- 9:30am: Bamborough: All Knights and the Princess are invited to an oceanside brunch! Wether they live in Bamborough or they live elsewhere and visited here, they're welcome to eat the brunch and participate in waterfront games. Thank the resort owner for this welcome! Or chat it up with your fellow heroes by the water. By now everyone should be full.
- 11:00am: Craydon: Craydon's welcome is much more modest, the locals have invited the Princess and his knights to the local Multipurpose Center. They've set out a spread of light appetizers, chips and dips, vegetables and spreads, fresh breads and cheeses, modest drinks. It's the least extravagant of the welcomes but the locals are still here to meet and greet everyone. With a smile and a handshake they wish everyone the best of luck. How are you and your fellow heroes holding up with all this attention? Did you skip all these events? Attend all of them?
- 11:30am: The Wizard (Year 40 She/Her/Hers) strides in to the Craydon Multipurpose Center with her hands in her pockets and casually looks around the room with a gentle smile on her face and huge bags under her eyes. Her eyes are black with cyan sparkles in them, looking very much like outer space itself as she scans the room and everyone in it. Good luck for anyone here, they get first dibs on seeing the Wizard. She'll be shuffling around the multipurpose center in her light blue pajamas and bunny slippers, occasionally adjusting her tiny glasses as she looks around. At least she's got her wizard hat on so no one could miss what she looks like this year. It's a shocking difference from the big muscled dude (Year 39 He/Him/His) she was last year or the slick suit-wearing smooth talker (Year 38 They/Them/Theirs) they were the year before but it's still absolutely the same wizard.
Procedure::
Reply to the appropriate toplevel comments for events below. Indicate if a post is a private conversation with "Private" in the subject otherwise all threads should be open to interaction with others. Plan OOCly how you'd like to toss everyone around. Several simultaneous wizard conversations can exist in the replies, she's going to stick around to talk to everyone. Feel free to OOCly decide what order they spoke in or leave it a mystery.
9:30am : Bamborough

Again he sticks mostly to the tables despite eating very little, declining any games. He's more than happy to watch said games, however, and even bet on them with anyone willing.

"I hear you're taking bets?" She runs the gambling industry back in Farida, she's gotta get in on this.

Hesitantly approaching Terrence, with how the people were crowding around him there was no way he wasn't a Knight, he holds out a Sycamore flower and a Marvel of Peru for him.

They know they should approach some of the other Knights, but they don't feel comfortable removing their blindfold in such a big crowd long enough to locate any of them. So, here they are, seated further away from the crowd and slowly trying to get some food down.

So he headed over to sit on the ground near them.

"Having a rought time...?" They think it'd be polite to at least greet him in some way, even if they wouldn't otherwise talk to him much.

reconnaissance teamchildren did more snooping than the interviews gave him. This one's killed people, could be a wild card. So the big guy's approaching the situation with requisite caution and preparedness. His footfalls were dull and heavy upon the sand, making it obvious that someone was coming. Since the blindfold is at play he doesn't try to wave, and simply flops down next to them.
"So you must be Zafika, the serial jaywalker." Jokes are a good litmus test for volatility, when they aren't puns. If nothing else, he's smiling. "Musta been a lot of streets. How long are you in for?"

They make their way over to Haizea, and stop a generous arm's length away from her, their blindfold once again over their eyes to avoid any accidents. "Hello... you're Haizea, right...?" they pause for a moment before lowering their voice so they won't be overheard by anyone, "or, should I rather call you Aunt Z?"

But then he sees her, the elven woman with the blue hair and the red ribbon. At first, when he'd seen the other interviews, she seemed a little familiar. He couldn't put his finger on it until he meditated real deep on her name and her temperament until it clicked and he found himself approaching her on an isolated patch of sand, far less emotional than she'd have seen in his interviews. He's not sure, but... he could always shrug it off. Blame old age and bad eyes.
"Haizea, right?" There's the faintest hint of a smirk at a corner of his mouth. Garrot really hopes he's right, because at least then it's worth it to see if this woman is a threat. "Excited to get back in the ring, Dragon Knight?"

After brunch it's off to try and participate in the games, even if sand and heels are not the best mix. Oh, and she's very uncoordinated at games that don't involve a racket. Might want to watch out for that volleyball, it seems to gravitate to others skulls.
no subject
Though they do hiss curses as they raise a hand to the side of their head, which is now throbbing quite painfully, and they have to remove their blindfold fully to rub the area, and take a look at what had hit them. A volleyball? What? They look around quickly to see where it had came from, and spot Matilda, easily figuring out she set the ball off its course, judging by the looks the other people are giving her.

But, the ice pack meant that they couldn't keep their blindfold on, so while it rested on their lap, they were taking few chances to look around a little more. They could now recognise few of the knights, but now that they're really paying attention, they spot someone they can't believe they had missed earlier. An actual centaur.
They decide to abandon their ice pack, they've had it on for long enough anyway, and after getting their blindfold back on manage to make their way over to the centaur, who honestly has to be a knight, there was no way he wasn't one. Soon enough they stop sort of close to him, and with the help of a peek from beneath their blindfold look up at him, even if it's bit uncomfortable for their neck. "Hello. Are you, perhaps one of the knights?"

After having been greeted and roped into conversations by a few too many locals, she decided to run a hand through her hair, turning it from black to grey, as she altered the form of her face slightly and added some wrinkles, essentially turning herself into a grandma and successfully hiding from the excited locals to scarf down her waffles in peace.
As she ate, she looked around for the princess but, unable to find him, she kept her distance from the crowds and committed to her hungry elderly lady act. She couldn't help but watch the less human-looking guests with curiosity, however.]
no subject
No, no, not there, not there either... as they tried to find her, they noticed an elderly woman watching them, and realised that... she hadn't been there before. Then they spot a familiar looking tail, and can't help but to be impressed. Either that was her innate power, or a knight power. Either way, they had spotted her again.
They return their blindfold over their eyes, before they stand up and make their way over to the elderly lady, who, might not be as elderly as she seems, and possibly could be a knight. They seat themselves at the table she's at, their head slightly turned to her general direction. "That's an interesting ability of yours... shapeshifting?" They tild their head a little with the question, as they are genuinely curious. "Zafika, the snake knight."

The experience of actually being at these events, of keeping a smile up and projecting the kind of strength it'll take... That's a little more wearing. But she does her best to greet the townspeople and her fellow knights alike, for a while.
After a bit of mingling, though, Joanna escapes to the water's edge to listen to the sound of the waves and sand and breathe for a moment.

"Miss Accone!" He's sure to raise his voice a bit, to announce his presence if his louder footfalls haven't. "I'm Dr. Murtakhor, the Monkey Knight. I'm trying to check in with as many of us as I can and well, here we are." Garrot hasn't done in-depth research, he just knows she's older and owns a bookstore.
"Are you... are you ready for this? It's the big day..." He sounds a bit uncomfortable, but it's not exactly easy to ask someone whether they can fight for their lives, especially when they look as imposing as he does. "You... run a bookstore, right?"

"You're the Tiger Knight." As it turns out, he's got a tall, orangey-pink drink in his hand, complete with little umbrella. "The farm girl, right?" And then he takes a sip of his drink by way of two different bendy straws. "I'm, uh..." he clears his throat before speaking in what's clearly a forced, formal tone, "Dr. Hrugarrot Murtakhor."
He chuckles, and the tension and formality fade away immediately. "You can call me Garrot. Hell, you can even just call me Doc, as long as I know you're talkin' to me." And then his non-drink-holding hand reaches out for a handshake.
